Science: What are the effects of heat gain or heat loss?

Dear pupils,

As mentioned by most of you that there is a change in the volume of the matter (When the matter expands, its volume increases. When the matter contracts, its volume decreases.)
Beside this, there are 2 more changes.

Are you able to list them??
(Clue: Related to how hot or cold an object is.)
(Clue: What will happen to an ice cube when it gains heat?)

Chloe, Dominic, Nicholas, Kang Jie, Lester, Karthika and Reuben,

The early birds! Well done! A little gift is waiting for you!

Most of you have listed that matter expands when it gains heat and contracts when it loses heat.

In another words, there is a change in the volume of the matter. When the matter expands, its volume increases. When the matter contracts, its volume decreases.

Beside this, there are 2 more changes. Are you able to list them?
