Maths: Mock Test

Dear pupils,

Try your best to find the answers first. If you are unable to get the correct answer after several tries, look at the steps.

Do be careful in your calculations. Analyse the question first.

You can do it! :)

Hot as pie or cold as ice.

Are you able to explain how heat flows in the above scenario?

Science: What are the effects of heat gain or heat loss?

Dear pupils,

As mentioned by most of you that there is a change in the volume of the matter (When the matter expands, its volume increases. When the matter contracts, its volume decreases.)
Beside this, there are 2 more changes.

Are you able to list them??
(Clue: Related to how hot or cold an object is.)
(Clue: What will happen to an ice cube when it gains heat?)

Chloe, Dominic, Nicholas, Kang Jie, Lester, Karthika and Reuben,

The early birds! Well done! A little gift is waiting for you!

Most of you have listed that matter expands when it gains heat and contracts when it loses heat.
